Who am I?
My name is Karine.
Chris, my sweetheart for 10 years now, a Professional Software Engineer, helped me start this blog to make my dreams come true.
For the last 5 years, I worked as an operator doing layout and translation for a business firm.
I was a very hard worker, spending long hours in the office, behind my desk in front of my laptop, instead of having fun with my family and friends. Most weekends, I do household stuff and then get too tired to take care of myself and my family or even go out.
I was drained out. I didn’t want to stay most of my life in a job that is consuming me. All I wanted to do was to run away, follow my dreams, live a healthy life, and do something that really excites me. Having more time with my family, going on trips, seeing the world, and feeling free!
I wanted to make our dreams come true as soon as possible. Why wait until 60 years old to enjoy life as a retired person instead of living the life that we are meant to live now! So I became obsessed with Financial Freedom and Passive Income. I started reading everything I could find on this subject.
Then one day, I shared an idea with Chris. “Can you help me to start my own blog!. I already know many things about style, fashion, travel, recipes, and many other things. I will start blogging as a side hustle blog and will make money from my blog rather than wait for a salary at the end of the month. I could even talk about how we make money online with a blog if I succeed with this project.
It wasn’t easy at first, I made a lot of mistakes but with the help of my husband, I learned many things and worked hard to get where I am.
This is how “Knowsmystyle” was born.
So now, I work because I want to, and not because I have to! We all deserve to live a life that we love. There’s always an alternative!!
