How to start a blog?
I decided to start this blog because I lost my job. I searched on the net about how I could make money and found out many articles about how to make money with a blog.
But I said to myself, “I didn’t know what and how to write a blog post”, “Can someone like me do this?”, “Will people read my blog?”. All these negative questions came to my mind, but I was so willing to help my family that I started anyway.
Writing a blog post is a little like driving; even knowing the traffic code by theory doesn’t always go the same way in practice.
What I learned is that practice makes perfect!
Search for a good title for your article
Before coming with a good article, you must first research for a good title. Anytime and anywhere I feel or think about something, I write it in a notebook. Although some people pick a title after they finish writing their post or article, for me, it’s essential to have a solid title before starting.
When I know exactly what I want to write, I used Google to determine how many results are there for this specific title. It allows me to know how many people already write about this and if it’s a good topic to write about.
Content research
Content research is usually the difficult part when writing a blog post. Here also, Google is your friend. I must tell you that I’m not very fond of reading, but this helped me start reading again.
And now I love doing this because I’m getting many ideas, and at the same time, I’m learning many different things that are helping me in my everyday life.
This helped me become very creative and create good content for my readers by knowing what stories they may like and may be interested in reading.
Start your writing.
Once I found a title, I started working on a good intro. What I learned is that the first paragraph will determine whether readers will continue to read or not.
I usually start my blog post with a question or something that’s not too boring. Then, I gradually gave the answers to this question by developing the article.
You have to captivate your audience by keeping your post engaging so that they will be interested in reading more.

No one would like to read an article that contains many errors or with poor grammar. Grammarly is a valuable tool that helps me a lot every day. It allows me to fix my writing errors and detect mistakes by using artificial intelligence.
With Grammarly, you can get help to create multiple sentence structures like a simple sentence, complex sentence, or compound sentence.
But the most important feature of this app is the plagiarism detection tool. It helps me identify if some other blogs already write the exact text I’m using when writing my blog post. Thus, avoiding my articles from being flag as plagiarism.
Add attractive images
When I was a kid, I was excited about reading books that contain beautiful images. It is more interesting to read stories that contain images.
But you don’t have to add too many images to our post. A few of them will be perfect for a blog post.
If you add too many, it will negatively affect the loading speed of your page. And users will have to wait longer for the article to load. This can frustrate them and make them leave your website. So try avoiding too many or any big images.
There are many free websites like pexels, pixabay and unsplash, where you can pick good and beautiful images related to your articles.
End your blog post with a conclusion
The first paragraph of your blog is necessary to draw the attention of your readers. However, the last paragraph is also very important. You should not end your blog just for the sake of formality.
End it with a statement that drives readers into action. Whatever article you have written and the advice you offer, encourage your readers to put it into action. Use the proper actions words and remind them that they can also do it.
Conclusion
There are many ways to write a blog post or article. But if you are writing it without any research and preparation, then you are doing it wrongly.
You have to enjoy doing it! Every day I make it a fun way so that it’s not something boring. To be a blogger, you must be creative, and you must not forget the fun aspect when writing articles.
If your articles are boring and repetitive, you can’t expect readers to love them. So before writing a blog post or article, choose a good topic that will attract more readers and at the same time create engaging followers for your blog.
